When I first heard Awkwafina speak it reminded me of this Asian girl I went to college with. Some people accused her of having a "blaccent" until they found out she was from New York and that's just how she grew up speaking.

I think the main problem with cultural appropriation is when people start to profit from it. Especially when it involves traits or mannerism that were once deemed unnattractive or unsophisticated by the originators but now is fashionable because White people are doing it. But at a certain point people need to ease up and recognize that there's a lot more cultural exposure and blending than in previous decades.
