To me, when you say "you don't see color", it means you don't see me. And you certainly don't see the circumstances that are a result of my skin color. It invokes this notion that because you are "enlightened" then all the racism and oppression that occurs doesn't matter because you don't "see" it.

If you want to convey that you don't judge people by the color of their skin then simply say that and stop wasting time writing BS articles explaining what you really mean while ignoring the effects of what you say.
