The price of Macbook Pros has been the same for over a decade. They keep getting better and Apple has kept the price the same. Yeah, you get gouged on the memory and storage upgrades which you can't do yourself anymore, but people know they're getting a quality laptop that will last 4-5 times as long as a plastic Dell.
