Thanks for addressing the first question I posed.

But we are still a long way from having bias based on race, especially in America.

You complain about conservatives bringing up MLK, (I'm certainly not a conservative BTW), and you say I've taken him out of context. Well, forget that it came from MLK then. What about the idea? What about this clear and definite idea that people should not judge one another on the basis of the color of their skin? Is this right or wrong?

The problem a lot of people have with conservatives paraphrasing MLK these days is that they get the quote wrong and they just illustrate that they really don't know anything else that he said or wrote. They like to pretend that they wouldn't be cheering on the police siccing dogs on Black people and attacking them with fire hoses during the civil rights movements. They whitewash the fact that MLK was a dangerous radical and pretty much considered a domestic terrorist. They're using him to make themselves sound enlightened and call others the "real racists" while using language and policy to appeal to the real racists among them.

I have made no moves to limit your voice. Criticizing you for what you say is not telling you that you can't say it. That's part of the conversation. And if I come across as perturbed, it's because I am. I've heard the same spiel over and over from people who actually are trying to limit the voices of Black and Brown people. And I see too many people afriad to confront uncomfortable truths who want to filter our history to make themselves feel better at the expense of their children as well as the Black and Brown children they are throwing under the bus.
