I've played around with various Android devices since the inception and the experience has generally been poor. I understand that the phones have gotten a lot better. I'm not sure about the tablets. I had one 10 years ago and it sucked. And the Android-based infotainment system in our new car is terrible. Thank the maker for CarPlay. But I certainly don't think of Apple devices as status symbols or begrudge anyone for using Android. We've been using WhatsApp and Signal for years in our extended family so we have none of the conflict with different messaging systems. And everyone I know that has an Android phone thinks it's great so no problem there. I am surprised to see the 70% market share for iOS in North America. I guess I'm too old.
