I wanted a top of the line smartphone with great performance, a good amount of storage, a great camera, and a shelf life of probably 3 years. I'm tech savvy and willing to pay a premium for a better experience. I just didn't want a larger phone. The trend of oversized phones led me to skip several generations so I was very happy to see that Apple was coming out with a new phone with a smaller form factor that didn't compromise on a base level. I still got a larger screen. It would have been nice to the features of the Pro but I understand there are size constraints (and profit margins) to consider. And I would think there are plenty of people like me who care very much about phones as well as conveniently carrying them. I hope Apple continues as I look forward to the iPhone 15 Mini.
