I find it very revealing that so many people think that Obama was “divisive” simply because he actually asked White people to pull their heads out of the sand and actually think about racial matters in the United States. They had the privilege of ignoring it for decades and seeing a president actually address it made them so uncomfortable they had to lash out. And now we have an incompetent narcissist in the White House that they thought would make America great again by silencing Black and Brown people but has truly divided the country in a way we’ve never seen before.
