I didn’t say White people. You did.
Yes, it’s implied, especially in America. In general, White people’s race is not something that works against them. Most of us tend to not be genuinely engaged with issues that do not affect us directly. So it makes sense that issues of race in America would not be an issue for most White people as it would be for minorities. This is reinforced by the fact that most White people don’t have friends (actual friends) that are not White.
But this is just more hyperbole that deflects from what we’re actually talking about — intent vs impact.
