Glad you managed to write this without using "woke" even once. I'm sure I'd be hungover if I took a drink every time it will likely show up in the comments for this. But I wonder if part of the problem is that we're old.

My 5 year old loves Disney shows and movies. Maybe the content geared towards older children isn't as good, but I can't comment on that yet since we still have to watch every new discovery a hundred and eleventy seventeen times before moving to the next. The Star Wars shows are good in my opinion. Not great, but good, especially when comparing them to the utterly crappy new movies. Marvel can be hit or miss. The connected universe was really cool for the Infinity Saga, but it may just be too much going forward, especially if new audiences can't get into the next phase without watching 27 movies and 11 Disney+ series first.

The whole "woke" crowd just wants Disney to fail because of DeSantis and their disgruntled sense of nostalgia. Disney certainly has made some missteps recently, but if your biggest problem is the tiny increase in non-White or gay characters onscreen, that's your problem and you shouldn't be projecting it on your children.
