By the time the second single came out, it was clear to me that Silk Sonic was more of a tongue-in-cheek homage to classic R&B than an effort to authentically bring it to modern playlists. But it is so immediately infectious and fun that I can't stop listening to it. And on top of the immense talent of Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak, you have a superstar line-up of Bootsy Collins, Thundercat, Homer Steinweiss, D’Mile, Babyface, and others that make the production stellar.

Time will tell if this is an album we will jam to years from now. But for now, I am definitely enjoying this "3 piece and a biscuit." And I hope they do more.
