And that reminds me of a vid I saw on TikTok a couple of years ago where a Black woman related a conversation she had with a co-worker who had seen Beyonce at Coachella and described her performance as too "political." When she challenged him on what he meant by that, he slowly came to realize that what really turned him was off was her performane was not geared toward the stereotypical "white" experience he expected from Coachella. And since it wasn't catered to his tastes, which he expects to be the default, then it was too Black, which his brain equated to militant and aggressive.

Unfortunately, we continue to see this across entertainment media and now anything that doesn't center White people is either specifically for a non-White demographic, or it's labeled woke.
