After cutting my teeth wresting with Perl and CGI to built "dynamic" web sites back in the day, PHP was like heaven. I used it for my freelance projects for over 15 years. But once I got into frontend frameworks and Node API's it took a backseat. I recognize that a huge percentage of the web runs on PHP and appreciate that it's still being developed. Though I wish that at some point they ripped off the bandaid and broke from the legacy code, I look forward to seeing PHP running on some future Web3 blockchain dApp that we haven't imagined yet.
